Who knows where to find this edi

Who knows where to find this edible piece of art at the Market? Here is a clue. It’s made and sold by a local chef who also creates a great menu at a popular local bar. Wonderful chewy deliciousness to go with your coffee after you have done your shopping , as you sit and watch the river and our own lovely world of Whanganui go by.

Cooks Gardens has reopened this morning. A piece of flashing on the Whiskas Grandstand roof was starting to lift in the heavy winds last night. An assessment was arranged first thing this morning and we’ve organised a contractor to secure it. We're good to go!

It's today! We're excited! See you soon!

We're heading home now as wind speeds are definitely starting to drop in Whanganui. We have staff remaining here at the Council through the night though so if you have any concerns you can call us on 06 349 0001. If you want to report a power issue, you will need to contact your electricity provider. Hoping we might be through the worst now - stay safe everyone.
