Latest from the Transport Agency: NZTA is currently assessing a large slip on State Highway 4 (Paraparas) which is set to keep the Whanganui to Raetihi route closed until late tomorrow, and possibly longer. Road closure - we've been advised that a large slip has closed Kauarapaoa Road, 19 km up from Papiti Road. Access beyond that point can only be via Rangitatau East Road. The road is expected to be closed until midday tomorrow (Friday 21st July).
