🌞🌞You really get the feeling that summer is just waiting in the wings once daylight saving starts!! It snuck up on me this year - it's THIS WEEKEND!! 😲 So, don't forget to TURN YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD 1 HOUR at bedtime on SATURDAY, SEPT 23 (or 2am SUNDAY, SEPT 24) - or else you'll be an hour late for work on Monday - and that would be very uncool ;) #Wanganui #Whanganui #OurBeautifulPlace #DaylightSaving

Local photographer Ken Graham, President of Whanganui Camera Club, recently travelled to Japan and visited our Sister City, Nagaizumi-cho. With his camera Ken captured the amazing cultural diversity of Japan. His work will be on show upstairs at Element Cafe, 26 Victoria Avenue, over the weekends of 7/8 and 14/15 October - well worth a look!

Just two of our lovely knitters, trying to hide behind the blanket we knitted for our very own little readers at the Gonville Cafe Library, they also meet on Wedndesday mornings to read, so we knitted them a story book rug to sit on! Turns out this blanket is so popular that now the main Whanganui District Library wants one too...If you are interested in contributioning, these rugs are made from chunky 10 or 12 ply knitted in a 30 stitch square, you can make them plain, stripped, patterned or
